Everything SMEs ask us

What is cargo consolidation, exactly?
Consolidation means combining several small shipments from different importers into one full container. Instead of renting an entire 20ft or 40ft container yourself, you pay only for the space your goods occupy — measured in cubic metres (CBM).
Is there a minimum amount I can ship?
For sea freight, our minimum is 0.5 CBM. For air freight, the minimum chargeable weight is 10 kg. So even a single carton or one suitcase of samples can be shipped.
How do you calculate the price?
Sea freight is charged per CBM, but we also compare against weight at a ratio of 1 CBM = 1,000 kg, and charge on whichever is greater. Air freight is charged per kilogram on the actual weight only — volumetric weight is not used.
Do you pay customs duty on my behalf?
Yes. We assess the duty and VAT on your goods using your HS codes and the current TRA valuation, tell you the amount upfront, and pay it on your behalf at the port.
What documents do I need to provide?
You'll need your supplier's commercial invoice, a packing list, and your TIN. For certain goods you may also need TFDA, TBS, or TCRA permits.
Can you collect from my supplier in China?
Yes, and it's free within Guangzhou, Yiwu, Shenzhen, and Foshan. Just give us your supplier's address and contact.
How do I pay?
We accept M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money, bank transfer (TZS or USD), and cash at our Dar es Salaam office.
What happens if my goods are damaged or lost?
We offer optional all-risk cargo insurance starting at 1.5% of your declared value, which covers loss or damage from warehouse to warehouse.
